Hello!

My name is Anna Terray and I am the creator of Anna Terray Jewellery.
I was born in Budapest, Hungary. I studied silversmithing at Budai Art School after studying Linguistics (Italian and Danish) at university.

Me and Jewellery

I find it amazing how a jewellery piece can change during its lifetime. From the idea, through creation and then by wearing it. By creating jewellery I really enjoy the connection that is created between the creator, the object and the wearer: how a piece of jewellery will be whole - and a little bit different - when the new owner finds it and wears it.

Inspiration

I find inspiration in the small treasures in nature. I keep the idea and transform it to something new that keeps the treasure but also builds on it to create a new object. A small object that the wearer can add their own ideas too.

I always enjoy playing with natural organic lines, and my work process is based on momentum, chaos, and the importance of
mistakes. Even though it all starts with drafting, I dont always make drawings or sketches, instead I like to touch the materials directly, play around with it
and make experiments.

Handmade jewellery

My pieces are produced locally and I always look for local suppliers.

I do most of the jewellery making process myself, but I work with a small casting workshop in Budapest. The gold plating is done in local workshops in Budapest as well so that I can guarantee the quality.
